Alex Evets

Alex Evets serves as the instructional technician for the Bixby Shop, supporting students and faculty across the school with a focus on fostering a supportive first-year student experience.

Previously, Evets implemented undergraduate recruitment efforts for the Sam Fox School, working with students through all stages of the recruitment and admissions cycle, and served as a pre-college program administrator for the school’s Portfolio Plus and Architecture Discovery Programs.

Evets is an artist who often finds himself mystified with the circumstances of his daily life. His work — which is often self-deprecating, humorous, or quietly critical — always comes from a place of love and curiosity. His practice, which is malleable, is rooted in his background as a sculptor and printmaker, although he has recently rediscovered his love of drawing and collage. Evets has presented work at the Edison Avenue Art Lofts in Granite City, Ill., at Cunst Gallery in St. Louis, and at the KMAC Contemporary Art Museum in Louisville, Ky.
