S.J. Surgener

S.J. Surgener is an interdisciplinary artist and freelance photographer from St. Louis Missouri. His mixed media work explores identity and experience through analogous relationships and visual puns imbedded in materials and processes.

Sam holds an AFA in Photography from Saint Louis Community College - Meramec and a BFA in Visual Art from University of Missouri - Columbia. He is currently a first year MFA candidate in the Illustration and Visual Culture program at Washington University.“
