UnConference "The Stories We Carry: Stewarding Identity Through Process"
Before we are designers, we are people — individuals made up of experiences and stories. As designers, however, we bring these stories to life creating imagined worlds for our patrons. How are these stories impacting our designs? And as designers, what are we stewarding during the process?
“The Stories We Carry: Stewarding Identity Through Process” is a dynamic event focusing on the role of personal identity in the design process. Featuring discussions with BEID contributors and a BIPOC community member, the program aims to uncover how designers’ backgrounds influence their work. An interactive UnConference follows, fostering collaboration on design approaches that integrate personal narratives.
This event is open to all, no prior knowledge or experience is required. Lunch is provided for all who register.
Hosted by: the College of Architecture, Office for Socially Engaged Practice, Center for Humanities, and the Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity, and Equity.
