Fox Friday: Artwork Documentation and Organization
Students will come away with an understanding of how to document and organize their work. They will have the opportunity to bring a work to document - go through the steps of documenting - editing - resizing. If they do not have work to document that is of their own they can go through the process with an example work. Students will be shown ways they can keep track of the work they make and we will talk generally about why it is important to document work and the ways it is helpful in the professional world. There will be open work time during the session where I will be able to field questions that can range in skill level - from how to organize a portfolio for a residency or for a job. We will “practice” looking at a call that asks for the submission of documented work and how to go about that - with image name - materials dimensions etc.
Instructor: Sophia Hatzikos work reimagines elsewhere by translating place. Connecting human experience with landscape Hatzikos questions current practices and acceptance of infrastructural systems. In the way that design prevents nature from having an innate relationship. Hatzikos currently is the Post MFA Fellow at Sam Fox School of Art and Design where she received her MFA in Visual Art.
