“Sabr” the group art exhibition draws inspiration from two literary masterpieces, Franz Kafka’s “A Hunger Artist” and Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain’s “Sultana’s Dream.” Kafka’s exploration of the eternal state of metamorphosis and the blurred boundaries between sustenance and starvation finds resonance in the exhibition. On the contrary, Hossain’s utopian vision challenges prevailing norms, presenting a feminist paradise where waiting and purgatory are transcended.
