Master of Architecture candidate Ann Dang recently received the 2021 Environmental Design Young Designer Award from her alma mater, the University of Colorado Boulder.
The annual ENVD Alumni Awards honor individuals who have demonstrated leadership and made significant contributions to the design and planning professions.
Dang was involved in the Spatial Justice Design Collective (SJDC) at CU Boulder to produce exhibits and creative works tackling race and gender inequities in architecture. Today, on top of her MArch coursework and her part-time position at the multidisclipinary design firm Arcturis, Dang is involved in the Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion committee for AIA St. Louis and the Academic Organizing team in the Design as Protest organization. She is also a member of the inaugural cohort of the Sam Fox Ambassadors Graduate Fellowship.
